A member asked:

With pcos can progesterone cream help me in ttc and keeping the baby? i had 2 miscarriages due to low progesterone levels.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: The whole idea of a Progesterone deficiency (or luteal phase defect) is a controversial topic. Yet, we still use supplemental Progesterone in patients with a history of recurrent miscarriage and in certain fertility situations. Besides talking with your OB about the workup of recurrent miscarriage, if you are going to use progesterone, then skip the skin cream and ask about vaginal progesterone.
