STDs: The main test for stds is a culture of the fluid from the tip of the penis or vagina for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Other sexy transmitted diseases include hepatitis and HIV which are performed by separate the blood tests. For genital herpes it is more of a clinical diagnosis with the sickles or clear blisters that form and then a culture can be taken of that flew to confirm the diagnosis.

A few: The major stds we usually test for are: with a penile swab: gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes simplex 1 and 2, trichomonas, and hpv (human papilloma virus). With blood tests: hiv, syphilus, hepatitis b and c, chancroid skin exam: molluscum contagiosum, chancroid pubic hair exam: pubic lice please practice safe sex always, including abstinence and condoms. Be well.
