Prominent vessel: Nose bleeds or epistaxis from one side of the nose when blowing usually results from a spontaneous opening of a prominent blood vessel located in the front and bottom part of the midline of the nose, the septal mucosa. If only drops, then it is a small venule or capillary. If it becomes a nuisance, see an ENT doctor for superficial cautery. A diagnosis is important.
