I have : Never seen it not work unless a person is late for the shot. It is important to be on time like clockckwork every 12 weeks for them!

Inconsistency: Research shows Depo-Provera shots are 99% effective as a birth control method to protect against pregnancy for up to 14 weeks.However, the shot must be given every 12 weeks to be effective. It can work immediately if given within 1st five days of menstral period. So be consistent with the shots, monitor for the other side effects and still protect yourself from std's be well!
