Progesterone: Between ovulation and menstruation, we release high levels of progesterone. For some people, this gives them the feeling of breathlessness. As long as you are not having any chest pain, and this symptom resolves with the onset of your period, i wouldn't worry about it. But it wouldn't hurt to bring it up with your primary care doctor at your next visit. S/he may want to rule out other causes.
