Can you die from gential herpes? can hsv be that serious

No: It would be very unlikely. Sometimes when patients have comorbidities like hiv, then they are more susceptible to viral infections such as the herpes infection. There is such a thing as systemic herpes. But that would be exceedingly rare in a non-immunocompromised person. The best way to fend off an outbreak is to get good sleep eat well and exercise.

No: Hsv is not associate with death unless your immune system is severely compromised. It can also cause a form of meningitis, but this is very rare. Hsv is annoying and the outbreaks are painful, but it is very manageable in the average patient / couple. Talk to your ob/gyn for reassurance.
