Depends : Sometimes if you eat right before working out, or drink water or beverages before working out, you can theoretically caused abdominal spasm to occur. However, if it's painful, deep intestinal spasms, then that's different. Best for you to contact your doctor, so that they can hear your history/chief complaint and determine whether you need to be seen, where they can do a complete abdominal, and physical exam.
