A member asked:

Is the smallpox vaccine safe to take?

Depends: The existing vaccine has been approved for use for 18-65 yo who do not have any of the long list of contraindications. It is not recommended for general use (the disease hasn't been seen in 30+ yrs worldwide and 60+ years in the US). See www.bt.cdc.gov/agent/smallpox/index.asp.
