See below...: Planb is probably about 90% (not 100%) effective at preventing pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. It will prevent pregnancy and it will also lead to a small amount of breakthrough bleeding and a delay in your next cycle. You are confused, but this is normal. Take a test weekly until you get a period.

May be side effects.: Potential side effects w emergency contraception include: menstrual flow changes (spotting, bleeding, early or late period), nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, headache, breast tenderness & abdominal pain or cramps. Most the side effects from Plan B would subside quickly. Take pregnancy test & notify dr if your period is 7 or > days late.
