A member asked:

I want permanent birth control but refuse to get essure . will the doctors still do tubal ligation with surgery?

Sure!: I'm sure you can find a doctor who will do a laparoscopic tubal ligation. They are typically done with a titanium clip on each fallopian tube, and they are >99.5% effective. I'm not sure why essure is not an option for you, but to be honest, it is less invasive, faster recovery, and similarly effective. (so it is somewhat more appealing). But you and your doctor can discuss it and decide.
