Right ovary has been hurting for 4 days now. period comes next week. why is my ovary still hurting? like a dull ache but very noticeable and annoying.

May be a cyst: On the ovary causing the discomfort. Can also be 'referred pain' to the ovary, that is simply coming from the uterus cramping a little. Hard to say for sure if it is due to a cyst (or to the ovary) without having a sonogram done.
