Need evaluation: You may have lumbar disc problem that compress on nerves and cause the numbness -depend on which part of the foot whether it involves l4, L5 or s1 nerves. You may also have circulation problems that cause weakness and numbness on feet. You need to see a doctor for blood test as well as x ray done depend on the physical exam and your history.

Sounds serious: There are many possible causes for these symptoms and causes can depend somewhat on your age. I'd recommend medical attention/physical exam/possible labwork.
