A member asked:

What to do if i am getting a sudden burst of dizziness when i stand up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low blood pressure: This development dizziness or more specifically light headedness when quickly getting into an erect position is due to a sudden decrease in blood flow and oxygen to the brain. This is commonly called orthostatic hypotension. This is either the result of low blood pressure or a defect in the autonomic nervous system, specifically an overactive vagus nerve. See your physician for advice.
