Stay away from virus: As long as the baby is kept away from the chickenpox virus and anyone who has chickenpox, he/she will not get chickenpox. Newborns are too young to receive the chickenpox vaccine.

A few: If mom had chickenpox then she could pass that immunity to the baby. Keeping your baby away from potential exposures to infected people.
