Is it dangerous for me to be living in a house with lead paint when i'm pregnant?

The danger : of lead based paint comes when it's old and begins to chip off the walls and woodwork. Because the lead makes the paint chips taste sweet, children have been known to eat them. The lead causes damage to the childrens' brains. If you don't eat the paint, it poses no danger.to you or your child.

Don't eat it: unless you consume the lead, you should be OK, but as other docs noted, the lead paint could become an issue once your baby is born if you continue to live there (they may eat it).
