Get help & advice: Helping a loved one deal with a new cancer diagnosis can be difficult. While you are helping out, you need to make sure you aren't neglecting your own health (physically, spiritually and emotionally). Here is a place you can talk to somebody to get some guidance: http://www.Cancercare.Org/counseling.

See your doctor.: The first step is probably to see your doctor. Your doctor can at least give counseling, and support. Many hospitals/cancer centers can also help with specialized doctors, along with other services to comfort and address concerns the patient and family might have.
