Wrist ganglion cyst-- tell me removal complications?

Several: A simple ganglion cyst of the wrist can be aspirated (drained) in the office setting under local anesthesia but it can recur. Surgical removal can be by an incision or arthroscopic. Risks would include local bleeding (uncommon), infection (uncommon), injury to small blood vessels and nerves (depending on location), wrist pain/stiffness and recurrent cysts. Fortunately not that frequent.

Several: Though none of these issues are common but all could happen including recurrence of the cyst, infection, nerve or tendon damage and the risk of anesthesia, painful scar. This covers most of the potential problems but again these are not common.
