how will know of you have hpv? is it a std?

1 doctor answer
Dr. James Ferguson
46 years experience Pediatrics
Depends: There are external and visible signs of some strains of hpv that can show up as small warty lesions on the genitals that gradually increase in size. There are also internal forms that cause changes on your cervix where you would never see or know you had them. They are transmitted through sexual contact.
