Bowels vs. breath: I strongly doubt any association between holding your bowels and bad breath. More information is needed to figure out why you have bad breath.

Strange association: I doubt if the two are related. I would consider getting more than two dental cleanings per year and be coached by the dentist/dental hygienist on super hygiene and home care instructions. Also, brush the tongue and check out the meds, supplements and foot you are ingesting which may also contribute to bad breath.
