That shouldn't trigg: Megace (megestrol) is used to thin the lining of the uterus if it is abnormally thickened, which can happen due to a number of factors. Including hormonal imbalances, lack of ovulation, or being overweight. Megace (megestrol) does not trigger ovulation (which is the only thing that causes a "real" period, by the definition of that word). If you are trying to conceive, you should talk to your dr about other treatments.
