Any exercise suggestions for someone who had hallux valgus surgery?

Just work on motion: The main thing to work on after bunion surgery (once your surgeon says it's ok) is to work on stretching the toe up and down to help regain motion. It's not unusual for the joint to be stiff after surgery. No other exercises are necessary except just working on getting up and about.

Great toe motion: The main thing is to work on range of motion exercises for the great toe. This can be done at home or sometimes a physical therapist can be used.

Range of motion.: Consult with your surgeon on the type of exercises he or she would recommend. Ask them when you should start and how aggressive you should be. You may with a physical therapy referral.
