More info: Are these symptoms related to drug use? If not a condition called cataplexy with narcolepsy can cause these symptoms brought on by laughter, crying, terror.Anger, etc. The attacks are transient and improve after minutes. If your symptoms are long lasting, then get checked for anemia, underactive thyroid, adrenal gland insufficiency, etc. Your md will refer you to a neurologist if he/she feels it's needed.
