How do i get rid of eye redness with lubricating eye drops?

Wrong approach: Lubricating drops lubricate the eye, don't fix redness. Redness is nature's way of cleaning up problems in the eye. When something bothers the eye, the vessels on the eye surface expand to carry away the irritant and bring in defense systems to help with the cleanup. Drops to "get the red out" just defeat your natural protective system, but do not fix the underlying problem. Need to fix the cause.

Possibly: There are many causes of red eyes: dry eyes, inflammation, infection, trauma, corneal abrasion, allergies, etc. If the cause happens to be dry eyes, lubrication may help. But even with dry eyes, a lot of time you need more than just lubrication, because your eyes are dry for a reason, so you must treat the underlying cause. See an eyemd if lubrication don't help.
