Self concept is a: set of ideas we have about ourselves. It can grow/change slowly over the years of our life experience. If it is too unclear or too fluid we have difficulty knowing who we are and what we believe and think. A mental health professional, journaling, talks w/several trusted friends can all help bring clarity. Peace and good health.

Can mean many things: This is a general description which could mean many specifics depending on how it is being used and its' context. In general, however, struggles with self concept refer to conflicts with how you see yourself in your life and relative to others. It is often associated with feelings of inadequacy or low self esteem, or a view of onself that is less positive than others see you.
