CC vs. hMG: Clomid (clomiphene) is an oral drug (a stilbene derivative) used to induce ovulation, merional is a gonadotropin (fsh + lh) used in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. One is not "better" than the other: they have different risk/benefit profiles and so are selected based on appropriateness for the patient. The twinning rate on cc is roughly 5% and roughly 25% on hmg.
