Not uncommon: Bacteria can be "massaged" up urethra ; into the bladder during intercourse. Bacteria multiply by doubling their number every 20 - 30 minutes resulting in a uti. Thus importance of urinating after sex to flush any bacteria out of the bladder to avoid a uti. This is a very common cause of utis in women.
