Do this: If overweight, get to your normal weight, eat small frequent meals, avoid eating within three hours of bedtime. Stay away from caffeine products such as soda, coffee or tea unless you choose decaff. Avoid alcohol as well as fried and fatty foods- they irritate the lining of the stomach and cause more acid secretion.
