Difficult to know: The lesion on your thigh could be caused by a number of things. It could be due to an insect bite or even an ingrown hair. It may be impossible to identify for sure what caused the bite. This should be treated with warm compresses and topical antibiotics. It might even need oral antibiotics and possibly surgical drainage if it does not respond to conservative treatment.
