Yes: It is not necessarily unusual for a testicle to retract back into the inguinal canal. There are numerous conditions and situations that can cause the muscles to retract the testicles up out of the scrotum. It does not mean that he is unable to have intercourse. It may at times can be a painful condition. If it persists, he may wish to have a urologist and evaluate the problem further.
