In addition...: Memory is related to how much you know about the to-be-recalled information (tbri). To improve memory for meaningful material, learn more about the topic. Attention is also key. Practice focusing on and rehearsing the tbri. Try this: w/o looking, draw everything on the face of a penny. Probably did not get everything exactly right, but you've seen pennies many times.
