Can u get type 2 herpes from having oral sex with someone who has type 1 herpes?

If he also has Type2: One can only get type 2 herpes from another person with type 2 herpes. One cannot get type 2 from somebody who does not have type 2. So, the big question is, does he also have type 2? A visit to a primary care doctor can help figure that out, if worried.
