Lymph nodes?: It sounds like you are describing swollen lymph nodes in your groin area. You are correct that your lymph nodes swell in response to an infection in the area. For example, if you had genital herpes, your groin lymph nodes would swell. If you had strep throat, your neck lymph nodes would swell. If this is a new symptom, you might want to get it checked by a doctor to rule out an infection.
