Probably not: Butylated hydroxytoluene is an antioxidant used in a variety of food products. It is not known to cause any allergic reactions. The risk of it increasing cancer is controversial and there is data that says it decreases cancer. Still, some food industries have voluntarily eliminated this additive from their products.
