Find cause of nausea: Nausea may be gi-related (food poisoning, peptic disease, gastroparesis, due to biliary ; pancreatic disease, gas/bloat syndrome, small bowel problems). Consider "central" causes: motion sickness, vertigo, migraine headache, brain problems (some very serious). Also, rule out infection (? Urinary tract), medication side effects, pregnancy, ; even reaction to stress. Find ; treat the cause--see doc.

GI reflux(GER): Ger can be acute, intermittent or chronic. Sometimes life style issues can contribute such as being overweight, smoking, alcohol and eating habits. A trial of over the counter proton pump inhibitors can help but if the symptoms persist or reoccur it is better to see a gastroenterologist. Nausea is a differmet problem and can be related to poor stomach emptying ie gastroparesis.
