Normal sperm count: The semen analysis has 4 parameters of importance: 1) volume of ejaculate 2) # of sperm/ml of ejaculate 3) % motility (and it is important to rate the grade of motility on a scale of 0 - 4). 4) % normal morphology (according to the who strict criteria) unless all these are taken into account, any assessment is meaningless. Ideally, we like to see: >1.0 ml x >60 million/ml x >50% grade 3 x >14%.
