A member asked:

Please tell me, could all visions be corrected to 20/20?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: 20/20 is the defined standard of 'normal' vision. It would be wonderful if all could be corrected to that level and of course a significant majority can be corrected to that level. Unfortunately there are many eye disease, traumatic events and inherited problems which lower the best corrected vision. Much research is being done to address such conditions to improve them.
