Cigarettes and antipsychotics, can i mix the 2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not a good idea: Cigarette smoking can decrease the levels of the antipsychotic in your system and if you were started on the meds without smoking and then you smoke, chances are they will not work and you will have a relapse of the symptoms. if already smoking when put on meds, you will need higher doses for same effect. so no - not a good idea
