Absolutely!: Many children develop inflammatory arthritis, which is called juvenile idiopathic arthritis, since most young children under twelve do not have true rheumatoid arthritis. If you suspect as such, take your child to their doctor and ask for a referral to a rheumatologist, or pediatric rheumatologist, although they are much harder to find!
