Cipro, (ciprofloxacin) not alcohol : Hope ur not alcohol dependent. There shouldn't be a problem avoiding alcohol whilst being treated for a kidney infection. You need help managing alcohol dependency if you can not not quit alcohol for 2 weeks whilst your kidneys recover. Alcohol diminishes effectiveness of antibiotics, .
