A member asked:

Caffeine withdrawal from coffee, how to deal with this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Withdraw the coffee: I recommend that in people who are overusing caffeine, that they subtitute 1/4 of the doses (i.E, if you drink 8 cups a day, lower by 2 cups - substitute with decaf if needed) every 3 or 4 days, until you are down to 1-2 cups in the morning. Withdrawal rarely occurs with that low a dose of caffeine. Alternatively, one could do the same thing with no-doz (caffeine pills)-reducing dose over 2 weeks.
