Depends.: Bilateral pars interarticularis fractures can lead to slip (spondylolisthesis). If increased distance between fracture fragments healing would be impaired. If no slip, stopping physical activity and conservative therapy measures may help heal. These fractures sometimes take 6 months to heal. Some pars fractures related to underlying dysplastic bone which will unlikely heal.

Brace and mag stim: A lumbar corset and perhaps a magnetic bone stimulator for three months may work. If non-surgical treatment fails and pain is a problem then a pars repair should heal the broken pars.
