Start naturally: Partially "flat" and not too cold gingerale is a good start, as it "emetrol" or "cola syrup" (both over the counter), that sometimes help with mild nausea. Can also try calcium-based anti-acid tablets (check labels). If these don't work, many women are on prescription antinausea meds (like zofran), but ask the OB for best answer if simple / natural attempt doesn't do it.

Morning sickness!: There are a few things your girlfriend can do to treat her nausea. She can try eating crackers or drinking ginger ale. Also, vitamin b complex can help with the nausea. If none of this works for her, then there is a prescription medication called zofran (ondansetron) that's very good at controlling nausea, and it's safe to take during pregnancy.

Ginger: Ginger can reduce nausea ; upset stomach. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger ; steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.
