Not going to die: Cervical adenitis is due to many causes. If it is under your jaw, this is usually due to a viral infection or bacterial infection, such as colds, flu, tonsillitis, sinus infection, strep throat, and others. Acne and ear infections can also cause cervical adenitis. I recommend you see your doctor to determine the cause.
