A 33-year-old female asked:

Definitely wrong: Your sources are completely wrong if you mean a true positive. The embryo implants at 6 d.P.O, it isn't even making HCG at that time, how could a test be positive? If you mean a false positive, sure they can happen anytime.

No: That's close to 2 weeks after fertilization, even a home test should be reliable.

A 22-year-old female asked:

How long does implantation take during pregnancy. I heard a week or so. So of my preg test said 2/3 weeks really i would of gotten preg 4/5 weeks ago?

Not exactly: Pregnancy has traditionally been dated from the first day of your last period because this is a date most women know. Getting pregnant happens 2 weeks after this when you ovulate; Implantation about 6 days after getting pregnant. So a 6 week pregnancy is only 4 weeks from getting pregnant. The Clearblue estimates the weeks from becoming pregnant. Add 2 weeks to get to traditional dates!

A 16-year-old male asked:

After implantation would a pregnancy test show positive?

Too early to tell.: Implantation occurs about 9 days after fertilization. This is usually a bit before your next cycle is to start. Preg test usually turns positive a week or even later after implantation. If your cycle is more than 5 days late then the test is usually positive. No one can tell you exactly what day it turns positive on. Exactly when you ovulated, fertilized and implanted are all estimates.
