Vaginal discharge: Thick yellow vaginal discharge can be caused by several things. First is infection from sexually transmitted pathogens like trichomonas, chlamydia, or gonorrhea. You could have an overgrowth of your own bacteria, called bacterial vaginosis. Irritation from spermicide and douches, as well as semen can cause a discharge. If it is clumpy and itchy, it could be a yeast infection. See your doctor.
