Before 12 weeks: I and others have published data which show that if a pregnancy is viable and normal at 10 weeks, the risk of miscarriage is less than 5%. Most abnormal pregnancies will miscarry prior to this time, or have abnormalities at the time of the 10 week ultrasound.
