I have hiv, will sepsis cause complications?

Maybe: If your viral load is undetectable and your CD4 count is good, your are well protected. If not, your immune system is compromised and you are at risk.

Yes: Hiv adds risk to any illness; if you were to become ill enough to develop sepsis syndrome your risk of death would be higher. However, if you maintain your medication regimen, have good hand hygiene, get your vaccinations etc, you should avoid sepsis baring disaster.
