Improving...: This has been an intensely studied area in pediatric oncology over the last number of years. Previously a 10-30% 5-year overall survival rate was quoted for metastatic medulloblastoma. More recent studies have increased these numbers to the 50-60% range, maybe even better (the data are too new). Every patient is unique. I would encourage having this discussion with the child's oncologist.
