Reducing stress: Can help greatly when being treated for cancer. To address stress:talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, yoga, exercise program or deep breathing.

Stress ; cancer: Stress can cause multiple kinds of health problems, but evidence that it can cause cancer is weak. Stress can lead to smoking, overeating ; weight gain, and drinking alcohol -- all of which increase risk of various cancers. Chronic stress is associated with decreased immune function, another area of research interest. Being diagnosed with cancer is very stressful too. http://tinyurl.com/ltu3mc.
