Potentially: Diabetic retinopathy can be improved with medical control of diabetes and other cardiovascular conditions, laser therapy, eye injection therapy and sometimes surgery. These are treatments and not necessarily cures to diabetic retinopathy. It will return if the diabetes is not controlled well even after the above interventions.
